Teddy Bears for Connecticut Children's Medical Center​
With funds raised during the first year, Gabriella's first stop was to Connecticut Children's, where she had her open heart surgery. The Teddys were well received, and have been handed out to many patients there.
Since 2013, more than 50 GG's Hearts Teddy Bears have been donated to patients at Connecticut Children's! Gabriella received the nicest email from her cardiologist, Dr. Heller, after one of her visits. (Picture and email to the left).

Teddys to Boston Children's ... and Ghana!
Below is an email we received recently from Kate at Boston Children's Hospital. Thrilled to report we delivered 40 Teddy Bears to children at Boston Children's and they are sending some to Ghana. So excited! This is why GG started her nonprofit, and thanks to so many friends and supporters we are now able to reach kids we never thought possible!

My name is Kate and I’m a child life specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. I met with Dr. Naomi Gauthier today and she told me about GG and all that she has done, including creating these great bears for post op cardiac patients. She left one of them with me, along with your business card. What a wonderful foundation! Dr. Gauthier suggested I get in touch with you to see if we could order some to give out to our patients after surgery. Could you help me facilitate this and let me know how the process works?
In addition, I go on a mission trip to Ghana with many of the nurses and doctors from the CICU every year to perform pediatric cardiac surgeries. We would love to bring some of these bears with us, if possible. This year we plan to go the first two weeks in January, however we’ll be shipping supplies over in the next month or two. We typically do about 15 surgeries a year. Thank you for your time.

Gabriella, with the help of her assistant, Francesca, delivered 30 GG's Hearts Teddy Bears to Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital in May!
